Battle for Vegas Announces 2024 Event Date

Star-studded charity softball game set for Saturday, July 13 at Las Vegas Ballpark® with Jack Eichel taking over as team captain



LAS VEGAS, NEV. (April 18, 2024) The Battle for Vegas, the community’s beloved charity softball game, now in its fifth year, returns to Las Vegas Ballpark® at Downtown Summerlin® on Saturday, July 13 at 8 p.m.    

Vegas Golden Knights center, forward and alternate captain, Jack Eichel, takes over as team captain for the 2024 event.

Fans will get the chance to watch their favorite stars in action as the teams “battle” it out for Las Vegas’ ultimate bragging rights, all for a good cause. The softball showdown features two all-star teams of professional athletes, led this year by Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights and his teammates against friends from the Las Vegas Raiders. The full roster of players will be announced soon.

Gates open on Saturday, July 13 at 6:00 p.m.  The Home Run Derby, sponsored by the Athletics, begins at 7:00 p.m. with the opening pitch at 8:00 p.m. A flyover is planned with special appearances by mascots Chance, Spruce the Goose, Aviator, and others. The event concludes with a post-game firework display presented by Century Gaming Technologies.

The initial event launched in 2019 and has raised over $850,000 for deserving nonprofits.  Proceeds from this year’s Battle for Vegas will once again be directed to the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation with beneficiary charities to be named later.

Ticket prices for the Battle for Vegas Charity Softball Game begin at $35. Tickets will go on sale soon.  A limited number of elevated package experiences, including ballpark suites, are available. Individual and corporate sponsorships are available.
