Located in Historic Westside neighborhood, project will offer 100-plus units plus space for business incubator program through the city of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (March 20, 2024) – Redefining apartment living in downtown Las Vegas, shareDOWNTOWN celebrated the start of its third residential apartment building project on Thursday, March 21 with a groundbreaking ceremony at the project site, located at the northeast corner of D and Jefferson Streets in the Historic Westside neighborhood in downtown Las Vegas.

The developer of shareDOWNTOWN, Cherry Development launched the apartment brand to create more residential housing options in downtown Las Vegas and to foster a collaborative, connected community among its residents and neighbors. shareDOWNTOWN has two buildings in downtown Las Vegas – the first in the Arts District with 63 units opened in 2020 and the second with 84 units in Fremont East opened in 2023.

This third shareDOWNTOWN project is scheduled to open in 2026 and will be located on six currently empty parcels of land in the Historic Westside neighborhood. The five-story building will offer 104 residential units as well as a total of 13,000 sq. ft. of retail space. The main apartment building will have more than 8,400 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space, much of which will be leased by the city of Las Vegas for a business incubator program. Cherry Development will also build an adjacent 6,200 sq. ft. food hall to be used by the city of Las Vegas to support upstart food and beverage businesses. This is the first large-scale, ground-up new construction project in the Historic Westside in nearly 70 years.

shareDOWNTOWN has always been committed to reflecting the neighborhood of its buildings, typically through works of art such as large-scale murals. The Historic Westside shareDOWNTOWN project will incorporate items that were salvaged from the New Jerusalem church, which previously occupied the site, and will reflect the heritage of the neighborhood in its design.

Like its other buildings, shareDOWNTOWN Westside will offer nearly 500 sq. ft. apartment units with a uniform floor plan that feature modern design elements, such as European cabinetry, wood plank-style flooring, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances, including an electric cooktop and a smart all-in-one washer and dryer. The building will also incorporate shared public spaces like an open-air courtyard and the HQ that caters to those who work from home by providing a free workspace for residents with a private conference room, individual workstations, a flat screen smart TV, and a wireless printer/scanner. shareDOWNTOWN also offers enhanced security with keyless front door locks, key fob main entry, fully secured garage, and remotely monitored cameras.
