Signs of HOPE Seeking Volunteers to Apply for Upcoming Advocacy Training Ahead of Sexual Assault Awareness Month Activities

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 10, 2026) – Signs of HOPE (Healing, Options, Prevention and Education), a nonprofit dedicated to offering hope, help and healing to those affected by sexual violence and exploitation, is seeking volunteers from the Southern Nevada community to participate in its upcoming 50-hour advocacy training program.

Applications for the training are due February 20. Classes will begin March 2, and those who complete the course will be fully trained and prepared to support Sexual Assault Awareness Month activities in April, one of the organization’s most active outreach and community engagement periods of the year.

Applicants must be 18 years or older, residents of Southern Nevada, and must pass a background check and drug screen. For some roles, volunteers must be 21 years or older. Signs of HOPE offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for advocates who complete the training, supporting both sexual assault and human trafficking services through the organization’s Resources and Integration for Survivor Empowerment (RISE) program, including:

Staffing outreach and awareness events
Assisting staff in the office
Answering the 24/7 Sexual Assault Crisis Hotline
Answering the 24/7 Human Trafficking Crisis Hotline
Serving as RISE language specialists for multi- or bi-lingual speakers
Supporting survivors during forensic medical exams

According to Kim Small, CEO of Signs of HOPE, trained volunteers are essential to meeting the growing demand for services across Clark County, particularly during awareness and outreach months.

Those who complete the course in March will be ready to step into meaningful roles supporting survivors and helping us educate the community when awareness is at its peak.
