Walk4Friendship fundraiser to feature fun walk and community carnival on March 30

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 3, 2025) – The Friendship Circle Las Vegas a nonprofit organization for individuals with special needs, will hold its 7^th annual Walk4Friendship Las Vegas community fundraiser on Sunday, March 30 at the Las Vegas Sports Park to raise awareness and resources to create a more inclusive community in Southern Nevada for individuals with disabilities.

In addition to the event’s 1-mile fun walk at 11 a.m., the fundraiser will feature a free community carnival at noon with fun for the whole family, including celebrity guest appearances, zip line, trackless train, mind winder ride, mechanical bull, rock climbing wall, air jumpers, video game truck, and petting zoo. This year, the carnival will also feature a DJ, bar, and toddler zone.

WHEN: Sunday, March 30; check-in at 10 a.m., welcome ceremony and walk at 11 a.m., community carnival at noon

WHY: Support The Friendship Circle’s efforts to provide social and recreational opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities

The walk and carnival are free and open to the public, although donations are encouraged. And to meet their fundraising goal, event organizers are seeking corporate sponsorships at various levels.

The Friendship Circle pairs teenage and young adult volunteers with physically and intellectually challenged children, teens, and young adults who may suffer from loneliness in addition to their handicap. Through shared experiences and activities, new friendships are created and a spirit of inclusion and acceptance of everyone is fostered.
